Intel × Dell custom mailer box: a kraft corporate Christmas gift box printed in one black

Published: 2026-10-11Author: Cedric Chan (Founder) Reading time: 3 min

Two technology brands sent one Christmas gift. A natural kraft mailer printed in a single black carries both logos, a hand-lettered Merry Christmas and line drawings, so it looks considered without full-colour cost.

Intel × Dell custom mailer box: a kraft corporate Christmas gift box printed in one black

TL;DR

Intel and Dell Technologies sent a joint Christmas gift in a natural kraft mailer box printed in one black: both logos at equal size on the lid and sides, a hand-lettered Merry Christmas and line drawings, tuck-locked with no tape. From 100 pieces.

THE CLIENT

This is a typical custom mailer box project for a corporate gift. Intel, founded in 1968, is one of the world's largest semiconductor makers; Dell Technologies supplies computers, servers, storage and cloud solutions. For Christmas the two sent a joint gift, and the box had to carry both brands with equal weight, survive delivery, and look like a present rather than a shipping carton.

PACKAGING DECISIONS

Choosing corporate gift packaging: what we chose, and why

01

Custom one-colour mailer box: natural kraft and a single black

Why

Natural kraft gives the warmth a Christmas gift needs and suits two engineering brands that do not do ornament. One black ink keeps the logos exact and the cost low, and kraft is tough, tear-resistant and easy to recycle, which matters when the gift goes to many people.

For your product

For corporate gifts in volume, one-colour print on kraft is the most cost-effective way to look deliberate. Dark inks read best on kraft; if you need light colours or photos, switch to a full-colour mailer on white card.

02

Two logos, equal weight: co-branding on one lid

Why

Dell Technologies sits top left and intel top right, the same size and the same distance from the edge, with the Christmas message centred between and below them. The logos repeat on the side panels, so a stack of boxes shows both brands whichever way they face.

For your product

For a joint gift, agree the logo order and size before artwork starts, and put both on the sides as well as the lid. We send a flat proof showing every face so both partners can sign off.

03

Christmas in one colour: hand lettering and line drawings

Why

A hand-lettered "We wish you a Merry Christmas" with a small tree, baubles and stars does the festive work in the same black as the logos, and a line drawing on the front panel adds a second thing to discover. No reds, no greens, and still clearly Christmas.

For your product

Seasonal artwork does not need extra colours. Line art and lettering print cleanly in one ink on kraft, and next year only the artwork changes, not the box.

04

A mailer that opens like a present

Why

The mailer locks with tucks, so no tape goes across the artwork and the lid lifts in one movement, like a gift rather than a parcel. The corrugated board protects the contents in the courier van, and the box goes from flat to built in seconds when hundreds have to be packed.

For your product

Send us the gift items and their sizes and the mailer is sized around them, with an insert if needed. Add a sticker seal or a printed inside if you want a final touch at opening.

THE RESULT

One ink on kraft carried two brands and a Christmas message.

Corporate gift packaging: what this means for your company

Three moves from this case that transfer directly:

  • Company Christmas and New Year gifts

A kraft mailer in one colour: low cost per piece, still clearly a gift.

  • Partner and co-branded campaigns

Equal logos on the lid, repeated on the sides, signed off on one flat proof.

  • Event kits and employee welcome packs

Keep the box, change the one-colour artwork per event.

QUESTIONS

When should we order corporate Christmas gift boxes?+

Count back from the date the gifts go out. Production is about 12–14 working days after artwork approval, plus time for a sample if you want one and for packing the gifts. For gifts sent in mid-December, approve the artwork by early November.

Can a one-colour mailer be printed on several faces?+

Yes. The lid and the side panels are all on the outer print, so logos and artwork can go on every face in the same ink, as in this case. An inside print is a separate option.

What colours print well on kraft?+

Dark inks such as black, navy and deep brown read clearly on natural kraft. Light colours and photos look muddy because the brown shows through; for those, choose a full-colour mailer on white card.
