Chung Wah Kee custom food gift box: turning handmade noodles into a gift people want to give

A 1979 Hong Kong noodle factory needed retail packaging that could carry its story. A red lid-and-base gift box with a divided insert and a milk-carton style handle box did the job.

THE CHALLENGE

Raw noodles are cheap, fragile and shapeless. To be given as a gift they had to look like a Hong Kong keepsake without losing the honest image of a 1979 noodle factory.

THE STRATEGY

A Pantone red rigid box with foil logo and divided insert for gifting, a milk-carton handle box for the counter, and one visual system across both.
