Rigid box or folding carton
A rigid box does not fold. It is built from 1,200gsm greyboard, wrapped by hand in printed art paper, and arrives assembled. That is what gives it the weight and the solid feel in hand, and also why it costs several times a folding carton. For a product sold by the thousand, the carton wins. For a gift, the rigid box is the gift.
Four structures
Magnetic gift box: a book-style lid that closes with a click, the most-requested premium box. Lid and base gift box: two pieces, the lid lifts off, the classic for food gifts and beauty sets. Drawer gift box: slides open, with an optional ribbon pull, good for jewellery and chocolate. Rigid sleeve gift box: a tray inside a sleeve, compact, for small luxury items.
Wrap paper, foil and inserts
The wrap paper is the design surface: matte art paper as standard, textured or specialty papers on request. Foil stamping in gold or silver on the lid, embossing where the paper allows. Inside, a die-cut insert holds each item in place; we work it out from the real product, so send us one.
Seasonal timing
Rigid boxes take longer than cartons and the festive seasons stack up. For Mid-Autumn and Lunar New Year gift boxes, order two to three months ahead: sampling, wrap paper stock and assembly time all compete for the same weeks.
Minimums and timing
From 100 pieces. Production is 12–14 days after artwork approval, longer with inserts or special papers; Hong Kong delivery is included. A white sample takes 3–7 days if you want to hold the structure first.
